Kinder Leveler:
A Purdy P-30 landleveller with serial # 155 which was built in the mid 1970's. It is a 13', 15 1/2', and 18' cut machine x 60' with trip blades 8 hole hub and spindle assemblies and 14.9 x 26 fires. The machine has had only two owners.

The original owner passed away and Mr. Kinder, who was farming this farm, purchased the leveler from the estate. This year we purchased the leveler at Mr Kinders retirement auction. Mr. Kinder used this machine on a estimated 500 to 1000 acres over the 4 years. He had us do the following work before moving it to another farm for him:
- Replaced cutting edges. There are currently 1" to 11/4" on the downside, and the blades can be flipped. Cutting edges are 1/2" x 6". Blades are kept in stock.
- Replaced the lounge. It now has a slight dent in it, but is usable and in our opinion doesn't need to be replaced.
- Replaced the steering arm.
- Replaced bearing and seals as needed. There were 4 new seals installed.
- Replaced the big shafts and bushings that the wheel assemblies pivot in. Depending on usage it will be an average of 10 years before needing replacement.
- Replaced small pins and bushings as needed. Reported and gussetted any visible fractures.
Work done this year:
- Replaced 4 codes, turnbuckles and the cable boards as needed.
- Replaced the 5" x 19" hydraulic cylinder with a reconditioned cylinder. Old cylinder had a little blow by.
- Replaced one hub and checked the others which appear okay upon visual inspection.
- Replaced small pins as needed. Repaired and gussetted any visible fractures.
The quote includes 4 new 14.9 x 26 RI lug style fires and tubes. (Not yet on the machine.)
Paint covers 75-80 %. Can be priced painted or not painted.
As seen in the pictures, the top arch where the cylinder is mounted, was broken and the bottom runners were bowed. This happened when a hired hand, of the original owner, put two hoses on the cylinder and as he was going across the field he tried putting the machine deeper With the machines on the depth control stops it naturally broke We repaired the machine, and it has functioned very well for the two owners. The machine's ability to level wasn't hurt.
