This unit was originally designed
to level Little League baseball running lanes, to help prevent
injuries due to lows and ridges in the lanes and around the
bases. Since then the machine has been used in the construction
and maintenance of sportsfields of all types, as well as golf
courses, horse arenas, gravel parking lots/roads, etc.
The special degree of blade slope and the angling of the blades
allow the hardened adjustable cutter blades to cut most hardpacked
dirt without having to till the ground each time. Because of the
location of the axle, the lift lever can be laid toward the rear,
to allow deeper cutting and moving more dirt. When the lever is
laid forward, the Leveler generally is used in the finishing mode.
By dropping the rear finishing blades' cutting edge, you can carry
more dirt a greater distance. This is generally done when you have
several lows that need to be filled or in the construction of a sports-
field, arena, etc. For finishing purposes, we recommend to adjust the
rear cutting blade, so the dirt filters under the blade. Also, the rear
hooks allow for drag implements to be added. To transport, raise the
axle lift lever up until the locking pin holes in the axle lin up;
drop the pin in. Then pin the tongue rigid, and it is ready for transport.
This Leveler is simple to operate and easy to maintain. The only occasional
adjustment is lowering the cutting edges as they wear or to position the
rear finishing blades. Parts are available at the plant. Approximate weight:
260 lbs.
