Our Company was established in
1950 as Purdy Welding shop in DeWitt, Arkansas.
During the 50's and 60' we repaired anything that was
broken,
including a few moonshine stills.
Business boomed when G.W. Purdy patented a
walk-behind tree saw and a tree cutting dozer blade,
which would be used to ecconomically clear thousands
of farm land acres.
In 1963 the name was changed to
Purdy Landlevelers, Inc., after the company invented
angled-blade landleveling products. Other Purdy
products included grain carts, rice levee squeezers,
rollers and small 3-point lift levelers.
In 1992 the name was changed to
Purdy Manufacturing International, Inc., after the
eldest son Randy Purdy purchased the company from the
other shareholders.
Though
our quality products have essentially stayed the same
over the years, our product lines have evolved with
increased horsepower and more precision to meet the
requirements of all sizes and types of farms.
Our market covers national, and
international. The majority of our customer base
comes from customer referal and advertisement in
trade publications. New, used, refurbished, and
custom made equipment is available. Financing is
available, including Farm Credit Services and
lease-purchase through several sources.
