The leveler pictured above is
56" wide X 6'. This leveler was custom-built for
Quail Valley Sod Farms of Arkansas, specifically to
pull the rigid shoulders of a center-pivot irrigation
system's tire ruts back into the rut, while the rear
blade levels the dirt into the rut.
In some cases, a Purdy Sand
Wagon was used
to fill the balance of the rut with sand. The leveler
then ran over the rigid sand to make a smooth bed.
This machine allows you, over
time, to develop cuttable sod in the pivot system's
tracks.
Another use for this product is
for leveling baseball running lanes.
Like other Purdy products, the Center-Pivot Rut Leveler is
custom-built to each customer's specifications.
Leveler moldboards, levee
squeezer blades, combine headers, etc. can be
protected by the addition of
polysheeting/polyplating, cut to fit and bolted on.
This plastic sheet is inexpensive and greatly
increases the life of equipment moldboards. The
plating allows dirt and trash to move down the
moldboards with less drag, which means easier pulling
and less wear and tear on equipment. Headers are
protected from wear. In the case of landlevelers,
depending on the type of soil, farmers are getting
into the fields 1 1/2 to 3 days earlier. Another
benefit is that it eliminates winter maintenance of
having to paint moldboards.
The plating comes in various
thicknesses; some color options are available. Give
us your blade dimensions and we will cut and ship
your polysheeting, for you to bolt onto your
equipment. A cost-effective and money-saving addition
to any product with blades or headers.
The Purdy
Sand Wagon (available and built upon demand)
was developed to work in conjunction with the
(Center-Pivot) Rut Leveler.
After leveling the ruts, there
is generally the need for additional fill-sand. The
hydraulically-controlled bottom door allows the
driver to center the ruts and control the amount of
sand being placed in the rut.
The wide wheel-base gives the
cart stability when loaded. The steep sides allow for
easy flow.
We regularly design and create
equipment according to the specifications of our
customers. It may be a variation of one of our stock
items, or something not routinely manufactured.
We have goodused and
re-conditioned equipment, taken as trade-in or bought
for re-sale.
Our objective is to meet our
customers' demand for the highest quality
land-forming and agricultural implements.
